Bloovi interviews SmartEnds founder Noman Ahmed

Belgian business site Bloovi interviewed SmartEnds founder Noman Ahmed. He talks about growing up in Pakistan, coming to Belgium on a European Commission scholarship, and working at imec, Technicolor and Cisco before leaving a steady job to start SmartEnds in Ghent in 2017.
The idea came from an overflowing bin in a park: SmartEnds builds sensors that tell waste teams when a bin or tank is full, so trucks only drive when a collection is needed. The interview (in Dutch) also covers how his Pakistani and Belgian backgrounds shape the way he runs the company.
